Officer Uche of the FCT Police Command has crossed his line of duty as it has become the policing culture in Nigeria as he murdered a 29 year old Shedrack Ochoche while he was in detention at the Mabushi Police Division over the allegation of Car Battery Theft.
According to reports, the young Ochoche was unlawfully detained in police custody for 5 days and subjected to torture by SP Uche until he passed out.
It is also on record that the officer who killed Ochoche denied the family the application for bail and threatened to kill the accused.
The accusation of car battery theft against the accused came following his resignation from a cleaning job at the Right Resturant, Jahi, Abuja where was working but decided to quit due to 3 months of unpaid salary by his Chinese employer, Madam Pin Pin, as she is popularly known.
While the police is slow to issue public statement on the brutality exhibited by SP Uche, and the mindless killing of Shedrack Ochoche, the family is calling on the general public to join them in demanding justice for the extra-judicial killing of their son.
